Skoda’s new sedan is Skoda Rapid

Skoda Rapid will soon be seen in Indian market. After a great deal of confusion with the name of this car by Skoda India, it is finally confirmed that the car will be called Skoda Rapid and not Skoda Lauretta as it was thought to be. Skoda, a subsidiary firm in Volkswagen, has manufactured Skoda Rapid on the platform of Volkswagen Vento. Skoda Rapid is going to incorporate the same engine as added in VW Vento-1.6 litre petrol or a 1.6-litre TD CR engine recently introduced on the VW Vento mated to dual transmission modes (Auto/Manual). After the launch of Skoda Yeti- the SUV segment car, “Skoda Rapid” is next in-line. Skoda India is going to install some high-end tech specs in Skoda Rapid. The grille would be in line with Skoda’s new design theme while the fog lamps would be bigger or similar to the one in Skoda Superb. Vcommindia News
