Maruti workers to work extra to recoup production loss

In order to compensate production loss due to the 13-day strike, Maruti’s Manesar plant workers have decided to work extra for few days. The strike at the plant has ended and production resumed today, said sources. As per an estimate, Maruti suffered a production loss of over 13, 200 cars and a revenue loss of around Rs 600 crore due to the strike. Consequently, production of Maruti Swift, Maruti A-star, Maruti SX4 and Maruti Swift Dzire has also been severely affected. This has impacted the delivery time of these Maruti cars in India.
