Tata-Fiat JV trying to cut down on costs to bring down the losses

One of the big ticket joint ventures between India’s biggest automobile company Tata Motors and Italian automobile giant Fiat SpA has been yet to make a breakthrough in the Indian automobile market and the increasing costs have made them turn to new measures to bring the costs down. It was reported in Business Standard that cost cutting measures and improved exports of engines have helped the struggling Tata-Fiat joint venture to bring down its losses during FY2011, although production of cars remained low.Vcommindia News
