Tata Motors to raise dealership count by 2011-end

AHMEDABAD: Tata Motors has decided to surge its dealership number from the current 250 to 650 by year end with the aim to fulfill the demands of a diverse market in India, said Mr R Ramakrishnan, Vice President Commercial, Tata Motors.

Mr R Ramakrishnan, said, “We are going to add 300 dealerships exclusively for Nano, predominantly in tier-III markets (towns with population below two lakhs), by the end of this year. For Nano, we expect a lot of interest in tier-III and IV cities as well as in rural markets. So considering various aspects we have to look at a network which can cater to this diverse market.” Vcommindia News
