TOKYO (Reuters) – According to Toyota Motor Corp. it would close 11 factories in central Japan recently, eliminating their evening shifts as a typhoon bears down on the Japanese coastline.

Toyota will compensate for lost production by increasing production in subsequent turns, a company spokeswoman said. She declined to say how much production would be affected as a result of the closures of principles.

The auto manufacturer, and much of the Japanese auto industry, has spent several months recovering from the loss of production of the March 11 devastating earthquake and tsunami that struck the north part of the country.Vcommindia News
