NEW DELHI: Two wheeler firm TVS Motor Company said recently that it will ramp up three-wheeler production capacity by 2,000 units per month by the end of April, next year.
Addressing the reporters on the sidelines of the annual SIAM TVS Motor President (Marketing) HS Goindi said, "Currently we are producing 6,000 units of three wheelers every month. We are increasing it to 8,000 units a month by April next year." The company had sold 4,714 units of three- wheelers as against 3,626 units in August whereas as according to the comparable month of the previous year, a growth of 30 per cent. In addition to the firm's total two-wheeler sales grew by 14 per cent to 190,184 units in August 2011 in comparison to 167,109 units recorded in the same month of 2010.14 per cent growth the company had posted in its total sales in August to 194,898 units, compared to 170,735 units in the same month previous fiscal.Vcommindia News
