Fourth manufacturing facility of Hero MotoCorp is planning to establish in future in Gujarat

Hero MotoCorp Ltd (HMCL), formally known as the Hero Honda Motors Ltd country’s leading two-wheeler maker has reportedly plans to set up its fourth manufacturing facility in Gujarat, a report in Mint. The report stated that according to a report by a Mumbai-based brokerage, the two-wheeler maker will also set up a global parts centre and a research and development (R&D) unit at Kukas near Jaipur in Rajasthan, initially investing about Rs. 1,500 crore.

The report says the spokesman from Hero had confirmed a global parts center will start in Rajasthan, but refuse to comment on the placement or timing for the project. The spokesman did not comment on plans for a fourth plant is. The report states that according to industry analysts, the plant in Gujarat will be used primarily to export markets, the plant south of India would help serve the large market in the South to reduce logistics costs at least Rs.1, 400 units.Vcommindia News
