Honda CR-V to sport 2.5 Liter i-VTEC engine in 2012

Main auto manufacturer of Japan Honda has released the 2012 Honda CR-V specifications and concept images. The 2012 Honda CR-V crossover will have two petrol engine options and two diesel engine options. The two petrol engines 2.4 liter and 2.5 liter 4-cylinder powered i-VTEC valve to further improved power generation and fuel economy. The L 2.4 i-VTEC that the powers that the crossing is said to produce lower power than the previous model, yet results in better output torque. The tuned engine with higher output torque could be the reason behind the improved fuel economy along with low engine emissions.

Another petrol engine 2.5 liter i-VTEC that produces the maximum power of 201 hp and maximum torque of 240 Nm. The gearbox 5-speed automatic is the same as the previous model. The diesel variants of the Honda CR-V crossover also on the cards, however, at a later date in India as well as in the European market. While launching the updated crossover likely to take place in India in 2012, the international release is expected to take place in November at the Auto Show in Los Angeles.Vcommindia News
