[[posterous-content:pid___0]]Mahindra and Mahindra is ready set to launch its much hyped SUV Mahindra XUV 500. The SUV is expected to be launched as a two-wheel drive variant initially followed by the four-wheel drive option later. This strategy is implemented by M&M to place the Mahindra XUV 500 price competitively around Rs 14 laths. The launch is slated to take place at the Mahindra's Chaka facility near Pune. The new Mahindra SUV is likely to compete with the upcoming Tata Merlin and Tata Aria in the segment.
Tata Motors in a step to ensure the success of its main model Tata Aria, 4x2 versions was introduced two months before the Tata Aria 4x4 variant. Mahindra & Mahindra seems to have made the right choice for increasing sales volumes for the upcoming launch of Mahindra XUV500 in just the 4x2 variant. Another interesting part is XUV500 Mahindra is the first model of the stable of Mahindra to decorate the monologue body structure.
