Recently Swedish court gave Saab leave to appeal a lower court's decision denying it protection from creditors, opening a potential lifeline for the bankruptcy-threatened company.
Saab, on August wages to their workers and about 150 million Euros ($ 207 million) to suppliers, filed for protection from creditors this month, but was rejected. The company requested authorization to have the case reconsidered, noting, among other things, the promise of new funds received early last week.
The court gave no information about its decision to grant leave to appeal.Saab spokeswoman Gunilla Gustavs said that, “We are naturally pleased. It is an important step in the right direction. We are hopeful."Vcommindia News
