The turnover of India auto component industry in 2010-11 grows 34 per cent to USD 39.9 billion

ACMA, the main body representing the components of India's automotive manufacturing industry, announced the results of its review of the industry results for the fiscal year 2010-11. The turnover of the automotive component industry stood at Rs. 182 127 000 rupees (U.S. $ 39.9 billion) for the period April 2010-March 2011, registering a growth of 34 percent (in rupees) a year earlier. These data represent the total industry supply of automotive components of the road and off-road vehicle manufacturers and the aftermarket in India and abroad ACMA members and companies who are not members, including captive component suppliers to OEMs and unorganized and the smaller players.
