Maruti Suzuki India had been into limelight continuously due to its ongoing strike at their Manesar plant. According to the latest reports says that the MSI will have two of its factories closed down in coming days at the Suzuki Powertrain plant, which is the engine supplier for MSI. The 18 days strike at the MSI factories is now spreading to its sister concerns that include Suzuki Powertrain for one.
The Suzuki's powertrain is owned by the Japanese car manufacturer having 70% shares that makes deliveries 300,000 MSI engine. 40% of the engines produced go to Suzuki engines. The strike in the Suzuki powertrain has soared after the MSI management did not come in terms with employees during a prolonged period. The employee engagement had begun on 29 August when the MSI had asked workers to sign the bond of good conduct before entering the premises of the company. Vcommindia News
