Attracting investment related industries to the automotive industry, high-growth gear in India is attracting investments from the concerned industries too. World leading a newly created DuPont Innovation Center in Pune to enable collaboration among 100 R & D worldwide and major automobile companies in India. Speaking to TOI, Diane H Gulyas, president of DuPont Performance Polymers, spoke about the importance of the auto business of DuPont in India. Excerpts:
After Korea Pune’s Innovation Centre comes the fourth, Thailand and Taiwan. What kind of specific role will it play for DuPont? The Innovation Center is specifically tailored to the automotive industry. It symbolizes the difference in the thinking of R & D innovation. They connect, develop and assist our clients in the auto space by putting the Indian team in touch with our 100-plus R & D worldwide, including Hyderabad. The idea is to use collaborative innovation as the new air duct technology that we have shown. After DuPont Knowledge Center was created three years ago, this is the second strategic expansion in India. We chose India because it is one of the most important places where we must change our pace and performance to catch up.Vcommindia News
