ICAT organizes a road safety seminar on November 15-16

The International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT), a division of NATIS (NATRIP Implementation Society), an independent registered society and an Apex body for implementation of National Automotive Testing and R&D Infrastructure Project (NATRIP), Govt. of India is organizing the Seminar on ``Passive Safety’’. The seminar aims at regulation, technology and the Indian context “safe vehicle safe life” with an aim to identify the road map for the future of Vehicle Passive Safety in India and to overcome the challenges in the occupant and pedestrians safety of present day and future. The seminar is organized on November 15-16 at India Habitat Centre in New Delhi. It was mentioned that Praful Patel, minister of heavy industries and public enterprises will be the chief guest and S Sundreshan, Secretary Department of Heavy Industry would be present as the Guest of Honour for the inaugural ceremony. The theme of this seminar is “Passive Safety: Regulation, Technology and the Indian context” with the punch line “Safe Vehicle, Safe Life.” This seminar is a forum to address the recent technical innovations in the passive safety, with the real-world data on pedestrian and occupant safety, to assess issues critical to the development of superior safety systems and to accelerate the introduction of new safety technologies.Automobile News
