Four new models unveiled by Volvo for Indian market

Swedish luxury bus-maker Volvo has unveiled a range of four buses for the Indian market as part of its strategy to make the country its second biggest market in the world after China by 2015. The report quoted Volvo Bus Corporation President and CEO Hakan Karlsson as saying "By 2015, we expect that more than 50 per cent of sales will come from Asia, mainly China and India. As part of our strategy, we are unveiling today a range of four luxury buses catering to different segments."

It was mentioned in the reports that the company had earlier announced to invest Rs 400 crore in India in the next five years with plans to make India as it second biggest market after China in the world. "We are developing a global hybrid and we will showcase it in the upcoming Auto Expo here. This bus will be launched in India in future," Karlsson said.Automobile News
