Impact of Mahindra & Mahindra in Auto major

Mahindra & Mahindra is one of the main and prominent Auto major of the country. Now Mahindra and Mahindra has quitely slipped down a four wheel drive version of one of the variant of its flagship SUV-Mahindra Scorpio, Xylo or XUV500. It has always come up with a wide variety of products. In recent years too it has introduced a huge range of vehicles. It has come up with new brands like Mahindra Scorpio LX that is the 4x4 version. The new Mahindra Scorpio variant ranges from 9.17 lakh. Still we can see that the new version of Mahindra Scorpio is not having  the advanced safety features like ABS and airbags. The new Mahindra Scorpio LX 4x4 adds up with free wheeling hub cap on the wheels and a shift-on-the-fly four wheel drive level lying on the central console beside the gear lever. Everything else is more of less same as the two wheel drive Scorpit LX except that it has gained almost 100 kgs of kerb weight due to the addition of four wheel drive.

Recently Mahindra has come up with a premium product that has been developed completely in house. The product is a showcase one and it illustrates the company’s global ambitions and its quality and styling all work towards that effect. When we talk about the competition the XUV500 is set to take on a host of players, not just in the SUV/Crossover category, but some sedans as well. Now XUV500 is in prime competition with cars such as the Skoda Laura, Toyota Corolla Altis and Chevrolet Cruze or high end models like Tata Safari and Toyota Innova. On the market Mahindra has displayed a very mature outlook and case in point being that even if you make a good product not get overwhelmed by the efforts and instead expect a premium. Though the knowledge that the XUV500 was generally perceived to be a vehicle that would debut above Rs 14 lakh price point, always followed.

Xylo is considered as on the most comfortable vehicles on roads. It consists of very comfortable flat bed seats and digital drive assist system. In fact the introduction of such luxurious vehicles in these couple of months Mahindra & Mahindra is standing in competition with other auto majors of the country. XUV500 has raised the demand of Mahindra cars. To sustain the demand the comapany is onto new projects.
