‘NDTV car of the year Award’ won by Hyundai Verna bags

Hyundai Verna, which is considered as one of the most demanded mid-size sedans in the Indian market, has won the prestigious NDTV Car of the Year award. Recently the company rolled-out Verna Fluidic is receiving an overwhelming response from the buyers of this segment in the Indian market. The demand for this car is so much that it enjoys a waiting period of up to 6 months. About 34,000 units of the following model has been sold by the company in the Indian auto market, making it a runaway success in its segment where it is competing with highly competitive cars like Honda City, Volkswagen Vento, Maruti SX4 and Ford Fiesta.

The second largest car maker and the largest car exporter of the country Hyundai Motors India Limited (HMIL), had rolled-out an upgraded version of this sedan – Hyundai Verna Fluidic – in the Indian auto market in the month of May.

In addition to the car of the year, the Hyundai Verna was also nominated for three other categories including compact sedan of the year, CNB viewers’ choice car and design of the year.
