According to the Renault the rise in price is necessitated because of the increasing cost of raw materials and fluctuations in the currency market.
The Renault Koleos is currently available with a 2-litre diesel engine producing 150PS of power and 320NM of torque. It has a 6-speed auto transmission. The Koleos with its host of safety features boasts of a 5-star Euro NCAP rating.
Talking about the price hike, Renault India’s managing director, Marc Nassif said, “The increase in the cost of raw materials and fluctuations in the currency market necessitated the price hike. Until now we have been absorbing the increases, but we now have to reflect an element of these costs in our pricing.
The flagship Renault Koleos with its outstanding levels of refinement and luxury remains excellent value for money. It has been very well received in the Indian market has already established a strong position in the premium SUV segment in India”.
