The reports quoted Jerry Chenkin, executive vice-president of Honda Canada as saying “The Honda CR-V has set the gold standard in the compact SUV segment and has been embraced by Canadians since it arrived here in 1997. We’re proud that the all-new 2012 CR-V will be Canadian-built.” It was also reported that the CR-V is sold globally in more than 160 countries throughout North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa.Automobile News Honda Motor Co., the Japanese automobile maker has reportedly begun assembly of its new 2012 CR-V at its plant in Alliston, Ontario in Canada. Earlier, the vehicle was previously assembled at Honda's East Marysville, Ohio plant.
