The puzzle of vehicles is the Local Motors Rally fighting vehicle which led to a mashup of a group of companies in Birmingham, England prepared to highlight the design and manufacturing capabilities in their home country, and collect monetary gains are going to that Jaguar / Land Rover, BMW and Toyota. The new sports car concept called the Birmingham and bolt has been unveiled at the Auto Expo 2012 in India. If approval is spectator April Achiever Even the concept makes production as soon as 18 months from now.
The Birmingham Bolt Concept is built from a chassis and body panels made from a combination of composite materials and aluminum. These materials allow the vehicle to weigh in at 3196 lbs, which isn’t svelte, but it will do. It is powered by a hybrid system that combines a 3.5 liter V6 engine with a 34-kW/46 HP electric motor and a six-speed semi-automatic transmission. This system will sprint the concept from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds and up to a top speed of 185 mph.
All of the parts used for the Birmingham Bolt were all acquired almost exclusively in the Birmingham area, including tires from Goodyear, the drivetrain from ZF Lemforder of Wednesbury, and the engine block from Shakespeare Forgings of Cradley Heath.
Will the Birmingham Bolt ever make it to production? Our guess is a solid no, but anything is possible if there is enough money getting thrown at it.
