Dec sales soars 36% by Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India

NEW DELHI: A wholly-owned Indian subsidiary of Japan-based Honda Motor Com Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI), a wholly-owned Indian subsidiary of Japan-based Honda Motor Company, has registered a growth of 36.15 per cent in the sales of December 2011 at 1,91,584 units.

 In the corresponding period last year, the company had sold 1, 40,719 units.

In the previous month, the sales of motorcycle increased by 24.97 per cent to 78,721 units, as against 62,991 units in December 2010.

The scooter sales of the company during the month under review also increased by 45.20 per cent to 1,12,863 units, as compared to 77,728 units in December 2010.
