The first Fit EV delivered by Honda

A 2013 Fit EV battery-electric vehicle is delivered by Honda to the city of Torrance as one of the first major steps in the Honda Electric Vehicle Demonstration Program. The delivery was marked by a ceremony at the Torrance City Hall, there to Torrance Mayor Frank Scotto a key to the Fit EV was presented by Steve Center, vice president Environmental Business Development, American Honda.

and the city of Torrance have worked together to gather input from the residents of Torrance about potential recharging station locations and jointly participated in numerous public awareness events with a Fit EV test vehicle. These initiatives will be continued by Honda and the city while also studying local government fleet usage of an electrified vehicle. Torrance city will also receive a Honda plug-in hybrid for additional testing at a later date.Automobile News
