The German Chinese joint venture of FAW-Volkswagen Audi will reportedly be bringing seven brand new models to China this year. Including the joint venture plans to expand its dealer network for Audis from 237 outlets to 300, as well as make further strides in product localization.
It was mentioned that FAW-VW Audi General Manager Bo Shi is very confident in Audi's upcoming offerings. "State-of-the-field technology is what lets Audi products lead the field, and is what helps set Audi apart from rival brands,” Bo said, according to reports. The reports also stated that 2011 saw the joint venture bringing over six brand new Audi models to China, and FAW-VW looks set to see that trend continue into this year.
According to Zhang Xiaojun, deputy managing director for FAW-VW Audi, at least seven brand new products are planned, including a domestically manufactured A6L, imported Q3 and imported Q5 hybrid. Several of the brand's high-performance S and RS branded models, including the newly premiered S6, S7 and S8, may also be brought over.
