There were 60 Infiniti dealerships active by the end of 2011, covering all major cities and regions in mainland China. According to Infiniti China General Manager Lü Zhengyu, the brand has ambitious plans to establish over 90 dealers by the end of this year, as well as increase sales by 50 percent. It was mentioned that Lü adds that Infiniti plans to introduce hybrid and long-wheelbase versions of its M series of luxury cars, as well as unveil a brand new "competitive" model.
The reports mentioned that despite the rumours about Infiniti manufacturing vehicles in China, the company has always denied any rumours regarding the issue. However, it was reported that the company has signed agreements to produce vehicles in Dalian, Liaoning still persist.
