Ashok Leyland showcases a suite of customized logistics solutions at COMMEX 2012

Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship is showcasing a suite of logistics solutions customized for the construction and mining industries at COMMEX 2012. Rugged and durable for operations both on and off road conditions, these vehicles have been engineered for faster turnaround, better uptime, superior fuel efficiency and enhanced driveability.

The five vehicles on display include two tippers on the future-ready U-Truck platform and three construction application vehicles with enhanced features. To meet various level of customer requirements, the Ashok Leyland U-truck tippers have been designed and developed to offer them a holistically superior trucking experience. The U-Truck Tippers offer flexibility, greater load carrying capability and better gradeability that are critical for the use of these vehicles at mining sites and stone quarries. Ergonomic, comfortable and well-appointed cabs ensure fatigue-free drives. The U-2523T is a rugged workhorse and ideal for use on rough terrains and in harsh operating conditions. For the first time, the U-2523T incorporates most of the DGMS (Directorate General of Mines Safety) recommendations regulated by the Government of India.

Most suitable for stone quarry owners and contractors, the U-2523 T packs extra torque for higher gradeability, more power to drive it faster and thereby make more number of trips. It has a strong load body designed to minimize cost of maintenance and maximize availability. U-2518il T is a heavy-duty tipper used for surface to surface transportation of construction material over long distances like from mines and from crusher to work sites. Extremely maneuverable to operate in narrow lanes & cramped construction sites, the U-2518il T has been designed to deliver maximum power and increased gradeability. It is also fitted with the unique inline pump. An optimum driveline promises faster pick-up thus giving better turnaround time and excellent mileage. Available in a variety of load bodies to carry different material like sand, blue metal, bricks, etc., the U-2518il T is high on fuel efficiency but low on cost of maintenance.

 Ashok Leyland range of construction application vehicles, 2516 H3/4C, CT1616 XP and e-comet 1012, used as transit mixers and material carriers are specifically designed and developed for easy movement of ready-mix concrete from the batching plant to the construction site. Excellently maneuverable, these vehicles are easy to operate in heavy traffic and in narrow, congested lanes.
