Combined effort of Hyundai Motors and BASF showcased, i-flow diesel concept car

The largest chemical company globally, BASF and one of the leading auto giant, Hyundai Motors, have collectively developed the concept version of i-flow diesel car, which was unveiled at Plastindia, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The South Korean car maker has rendered its Fluidic design to the car while BASF has enriched it with its long years of experience in fuel efficiency and emission technologies.

The diesel engine car is shielded with polyurethane foam that is directed towards assisting the engine in attaining optimum temperatures at higher pace. One of the major contributions of BASF to the car is in the form of conversion of the heat released from exhaust gases to electricity which is further utilized to power the adjuvant systems within the car.

Moreover, the concept i-flow comprises of a transparent cover containing infra-red and reflecting pigments that enables to keep the car interiors cool in spite of the exteriors being exposed to sunlight. The seat frame of this concept car is built using polyamide that contains 60 percent renewable raw materials and energy absorbing foam while for making the passengers feel fresh and relaxed, seats are made of moisture absorbing material.Automobile News
