On Diwali M&M plans to greet with a low cost mini SUV

In all probability, this year Diwali will see an ultra low cost new SUV from Mahindra & Mahindra. It is heard in hushed voices that the unique pricing of this new SUV will steal the thunder. It is speculated to be priced much lower than any compact SUV in market. To believe the rumors, this mini new SUV will set a tight competition in market. Currently trending Mahindra XUV 500, opened to an overwhelming response and managed to grab 25000 bookings across 19 cities in second stages of booking. The soaring popularity and demand of Mahindra XUV 500 has encouraged M&M to boost up the production capacity to 5000 units per month by August.

Initially installed capacity of manufacturing plant was 3000 units which had to be enhanced to meet the growing demand for Mahindra XUV 500. The project to ramp up the production is an investment of around Rs 100 Crore but will come as a welcome respite to customers enduring long waiting period to own a XUV 500. With increased production and a new SUV in its kitty, M&M is definitely geared up to play big numbers.Automobile News
