The 2012 Geneva Motor Show has witnessed the grand showcase of the production version of the new Ford Fiesta ST at the American auto giant’s magnificent pavilion. The European auto market will get hit by the production version of this subcompact hatchback in the early 2013, which has proved a large demand pool for the earlier Fiesta models.
The Director- Global Performance Vehicles, Ford Motor Company, commented, "We believe Ford customers will be blown away by the new Fiesta ST, and not only by the exhilarating performance but by the styling and specification, too. This dynamic new hot-hatch is undoubtedly our best Fiesta ST to date,"
With a high powered 1.6 Liter EcoBoost engine the new Fiesta ST is loaded that is capable of outpouring a peak power of 180 PS that is 20 percent more output produced than the previous version and pace up from a standstill to over 100 kmph within 7 seconds and can attain a top speed of more than 220 kmph. High performance delivery by the installation of the EcoBoost engine ensures along with higher fuel efficacy and drastically reduced CO2 emissions.
The standard Recaro sports seats is offered for the first time in the Fiesta ST models and a unique safety feature called MyKey is offered to limiting performance and activation of safety devices. The front fascia of the car reveals newly designed wide trapezoidal grille that gives the new Fiesta much bolder and upbeat appearance.Automobile News
