Renault launches Fluence diesel at Rs 15.2 lakhs

Renault India, the fully owned subsidiary of Renault s.a.s. has unveiled the new variant of Renault Fluence Diesel. The new Renault Fluence Diesel E4D is the top of the range version. Renault India had launched the Fluence in May 2011. Within 10 months, the fully loaded Diesel variant is not only set to woo the sedan lover but is also a strong demonstration of Renault’s commitment to the Indian market. Loaded with luxury features and powered by a new generation Renault’s most successful, 1.5 dCi (K9K) engine this feature rich package is expected to receive a highly positive response.

The New 1.5 dCi engine will give the Fluence a class leading fuel efficiency of 20.4 Kmpl (ARAI figure). The new 1.5 dCi, engine will produces 110 PS of power and 240 NM of Torque. The 1.5 dCi (K9K type) engine has a special place in the diesel range. It is one of Renault’s top-selling engines with more than 1 million units sold globally in 2011. Speaking on the occasion, Marc Nassif, Managing Director, Renault India Pvt. Ltd. said, “Fluence was the first offering from Renault in India. We are highly pleased with the product’s performance and it has been very well accepted by the Indian customers. The new upgraded Fluence is all about our commitment to the Indian market and is a result of the feedback we have received from our customers. The new Fluence E4D will be powered by the new generation of Renault’s most successful 1.5 dCi (K9K) engine which will give the best combination of power and fuel efficiency in its class”.

The New Fluence Diesel, with its 1.5 dCi engine produces 110 PS of power and 240 NM of Torque, giving Fluence the best in class fuel efficiency of 20.4 Kmpl (ARAI figure). The new engine offers reduced load losses - thanks to an all new Variable Geometric Turbo. The air intake path has been simplified to achieve more efficient turbo performance without much increasing fuel consumption. Moreover, a low inertia turbo improves response at low engine speeds making hassle-free for city drivability. The New Renault Fluence’s Piezo injector significantly improves combustion performance with more precise spray pattern, which in turn increases the engine power. Fluence diesel has the lowest emission standards in its category.

The company says that the New Renault Fluence E4D has boot capacity of 530 litres. The dashboard includes a deep glove box. The new Fluence E4D is also packed with some more exciting features like Rain & Light Sensors, Rear Parking Sensors, Smart Access Card Entry, Engine Start/ Stop Button, Electrically Foldable ORVMs, 4 Speaker Music System with USB, AUX-IN & Bluetooth Connectivity, 60:40 Rear Seat Split, Rear Seat center armrest with Cup holders, Cruise control, leather upholstery rear sunblinds. It is equipped with ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, ESP (Electronic stability program) & ASR. It is equipped with an array of occupant protection features like, dual front airbags and side airbags for Driver & front Passenger, load limiters.Automobile News
