Maruti Suzuki cuts exports of diesel engines to Hungary due to local demand

The last couple of months have been tough for passenger car makers including the largest passenger car maker in the country Maruti Suzuki. The rising petrol prices and lending rates had hit sales and in the mean time, the demand for diesel vehicles is surging up due to the comparative cheaper prices and cost of maintenance. Now it has been reported that looking to hit back at competitors with the new version of its premium hatchback Swift, Maruti Suzuki India has announced that it would drastically cut exports of diesel engines to Hungary to concentrate on the Indian market.
