The slot vacated by Maruti 800 will be captured by Hyundai

The second largest car manufacturer in the country, Hyundai Motor has been in news for some time for its next new small car code named AH or, according to some reports, Hyundai Eon. The company is eyeing the slot vacated by rival Maruti Suzuki Maruti 800 iconic model, which has been eliminated

According to the report by Hyundai Motors India, its Vice-President R Sethuraman said that the new small car that will fill the slot "between the Tata Nano and the Maruti Alto" is set to be launched by Hyundai Motors India. The new model would hit the road by the end of the year, he added.

He further said the small cars from Hyundai would continue to be fuelled by petrol and LPG. The diesel versions would be available for higher-end cars.Vcommindia News
