Tamil Nadu will have an automobile plant of Mahindra & Mahindra

CHENNAI: Auto major Mahindra and Mahindra is ready to establish a car manufacturing plant to a test center in Cheyyar, about 100 miles from here, for which it has signed a memorandum of understanding with the government of Tamil Nadu.
The MOU it was signed earlier this year to install the plant on 400 acres in Cheyyar with an investment of 1,800 crore rupees.

After the Chakan plant in Maharashtra this proposed plant will be the second facility.

Mahindra and Mahindra, Automotive and Farm Equipment sector President Pawan Goenka shared that they have a plan to set up a testing facility on 150 acres land.

"In the first phase it is 400 hectares of land will set be up for a testing center -. A 150-acre, requiring a minimum investment of Rs 100 Rs 150 crore," he said.Vcommindia News
