483 Cayenne models recall by Porsche to affect in India

Porsche German luxury sports car maker has reportedly stated that it will recall 483 cars in India as part of its global exercise to fix faulty headlight in one lakh units of the Cayenne model. According to the company, the number of cars affected in India is 483.

Last week it can be recalled that the company had announced a global recall of the current 2011 and 2012 Cayenne models to rework the headlight locking system. According to the company the in-house quality investigations revealed that in rare cases an incorrectly locked head-light module can become detached. It added that approximately 1 lakh units of the Cayenne model line are being reworked.

According to reports, the company further said the workshop job takes approximately 45 minutes and is free of charge for the customer. Apart from the Cayenne, Porsche sells other models such as Panamera, Boxter, 911 and Cayman in India.
