In the world’s largest automobile market China there has been a slew of vehicle recalls off late. Now it is said that Dongfeng Motor has issued a recall for the Yida version of the Nissan Teana midsize, according to Chinese media reports.
According to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, the recall targets 8,818 Teanas manufactured between late March 2011 and late December 2011 and equipped with the MR16 engine.
It was mentioned that the Teana’s in question are been recalled due to a potential flaw with the locking mechanisms in their fuel pressure sensors. Under extreme circumstances fuel leaks may occur as a result of the problem, leading to potential safety risks. Dongfeng Motor will provide free maintenance and repair of all recalled vehicles.
