[[posterous-content:pid___0]]Royal Enfield, a Chennai base leading premium bike manufacturer, is planning to launch all new Thunderbird 500 model in the Indian market by May - June 2012. The bold and beautiful Thunderbird 500 will come powered with a fuel injected twin spark 500cc, UCE500 engine that is capable of delivering a maximum power of 27.2 bhp along with a peak torque of 41.3 Nm. The powerful UCE500 engine of the car will come incorporated with a five speed gearbox, which comes blessed with maintenance free hydraulic tappets. The launch of new Thunderbird 500 will be followed by the roll-out of new Cafe Racer 500 early next year, which is eagerly awaited among the enthusiasts of this segment of bikes.
Moreover, the company is planning to raise its production capacity to 1.8 lakh per annum as compared to current capacity of 80,000 units per annum. The increased capacity will help the company in bringing down the mounting waiting periods of its bikes in the country, and will help it to further raise its sales figures in the Indian market.Automobile News
